Winter Trend: Luxurious Wraps

The warmer weather has long gone and our wardrobes are beginning to feel the chill…however the colder seasons have brought some fabulous trends to the table, and the likes of Chloe and Ralph Lauren suggest some beautiful as well as functional ways to brave the cold. Luxuriant ponchos, wrap coats and scarves are all part of this season’s trend, and the great thing about this layering look is that it looks elegant and covers you from the cold at the same time.

This look is also easy to make your own- either add some original jewellery to bring some spark to the colder season, or accessorise with a soft belt.

Sixties Trend

Designers are always looking through history for inspiration- and this season the swinging 60s are definitely making a comeback. All eyes are on graphic prints, dresses and mod-style cuts.

Several stars have also paid homage to this era with big lashes and bold liner, opting for the graphic monochrome look over the classic smokey eye.

But why not give this look a modern twist? Graphic tees and dresses have graduated into style necessities for the modern woman. Alternate from a casual eye-catching tee and jeans combo to a more formal print dress for work, and don't forget to add some stand-out earrings to complete the look and tie in some of that eclectic sixties vibe.

Trend: Fairytale Florals

Fairytale fans be grateful- folk dresses with dreamy detailing have officially hit the AW14 runways.

Butterflies, flowers and ethereal lace have all made their appearance, and the combination of these feminine details has conjured up some amazing high-couture pieces.

It’s no wonder that several designers have channelled this Hans Anderson feel this season- the beautiful beading and embroidery within this particular trend is timeless and enchanting.

If you’re not up for fancy dress yourself, and would prefer to keep the costume look a little muted, jewellery is the foolproof way to evoke some of this fairy-tale glam- add our intricate earrings for a simple but stylish work look or choose a statement piece for a striking outfit.
