Style Idol: Lupita Nyong'o

Most people would probably recognise Mexican-Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o most from her outstanding role in Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave, a film which won Lupita an Academy Award, as well nominations for a Golden Globe and a Bafta. The actress has also been the face of Vogue, Elle, and Dazed & Confused- but she’s not just a pretty face. Along with graduating from the prestigious Yale School of Drama with a master’s degree, Lupita can speak four languages. And, as some of our favourite Lupita looks might show, it’s also no surprise that she’s been on Harper’s Bazaar’s best dressed list several times- Lupita’s penchant for bright colours and sophisticated prints are a success, both on the red carpet and on the street.

Wear Lupita’s classy prints with a 2B Me Accessories necklace for that final statement look.

Winter Trend: Eclectic Prints

Who said bright colours were limited to the summer season?
Models have been spotted striding down the runway, prints a-blazing, regardless of minus temperatures outside. Stand out from the crowds of blacks and greys this season with a pop of print- and don’t be shy to to layer. More often than not this creates a uniquely eclectic look, which doubles in keeping you nice and snug.

If you generally shy away from bright colours you can pay homage to this trend with some equally loud jewellery instead. For a simpler look, wear only one graphic piece, and accent with a unique bangle or necklace.
