London Fashion Week Prophetik AW16 Show

The Prophetik AW16 show by Jeff Garner was part of London Fashion Week, and showcased the new Renaissance based collection which is a central theme of the brand. As I watched the show, I was able to see the Renaissance dominated aspects of the collection, due to clothes which accentuated the waist and had long flowing skirts which highlighted the elegant theme of the collection with a feminine touch.

I also noticed the importance of jewellery to the brand. Most dresses had been accessorised with some form of necklace, ranging from long, draping scarves to jewelled statement pieces, both of which were compatible and suited the specific outfit. This can be seen very well on the photos below; jewelled accessories are often used with the feminine, courtly dresses to enhance the elegance of the outfit, whilst scarves are paired on female outfits consisting of trousers and waistcoats, arguably to show a sense of female empowerment. Either way, accessories are crucial to the establishment of an outfit, which is so perfectly portrayed here!

I had the honour of watching the Prophetik AW16 show in London, and shot these photographs for 2bmeaccessories to illustrate the importance of jewellery in a brand. Photographer credit: @fayeisabella (instagram) & www.fayeisabella.co.uk

Style Idol: Olivia Palermo

Actress, model and socialite Olivia Palermo has a lot of accolades under her belt- the former The City actress has worked at both Diane von Furstenberg and Elle respectively. As well as being signed to prestigious agency Wilhelmina Models, Palermo has graced the covers of Elle, Tatler and Marie Claire. Her other ventures into fashion include her own jewellery line as well as fashion blog- but she’s probably known best for her distinct style, which is both modern and elegant. Ranging from mono-prints, unique accessories and smart trousers, Palermo combines the high-society New Yorker look with the contemporary woman, or in shorter terms, “Conservative Chic”. She also knows a thing or two about beauty- her perfectly coiffed hair and flawless eyebrows would make the Middletons green with envy.

Pair Palermo’s mono-print outfit with a pop of colour- a 2B Me Accessories’ necklace should do just the trick.

Style Idols: The Olsen Twins

Everyone knows that the Olsen twins are the epitome of cool. With an acting career spanning over a decade, starting with their adorable debut on ‘Full House, the twins have remained a firm fixture in showbiz. However, although they made their debut in Hollywood, today they're more known for their fashionable side. It’s hard not to include their successes in style- they were the faces of brand Badgley Mischka in 2006 and are also the brains behind contemporary line ‘The Row’. The sisters favour the bohemian and gothic look (Mary-Kate was named as a fashion icon by The New York Times for her particular ‘ashcan’ look) a style that makes them look ethereal both on the red carpet and the street.

Channel the Olsen’s edgy style with some eye-catching print, as well as some unique jewellery-see our 2B Me Accessories necklace.
