LONDON FASHION WEEK SHOWROOMS:BEST OF

Once again Somerset house brought light to designers this year by holding an array of showrooms displaying designer’s recent collections ready for the coming seasons. With Jewellery, shoes, hats, clothes and even glasses – each room brought something new.

Jewellery was a big trend throughout London Fashion Week and seems sure to continue through to SS15. Sunglasses and headgear were another hit amongst the showrooms. While Zoe Sherwood stuck to basic tones of black white and pastels for her Alice In Wonderland style headpieces, Termite Eyewear went down the opposite route with bold colours and shapes for their collection of sunglasses

Kult Domini had a pop style theme to their collection of wedged sandals and flats. In simple blacks and bright solid colours shoes were block heeled or held a flatform style giving the collection a late 80s, early 90s theme.
Julia Thomas SS15 collection was everything modern and minimal. Strappy sandals appeared modest with cylinder block and see-through heels giving a futuristic theme. Sandals were strapped with leather with the whole collection kept muted in basic tones with a side of plum and beige shades.

For clothing the choice was endless - from an all black and white collection for summer, to  pastel furs and pure silver angelic looks. One of the best went to Yui Atelier. The  collection was everything a girl wanted, pink, glittery and flirty. An array of materials were  used for the collection with fur’s, silks and even PVC all in different cuts and shades of  blush pink.

Brand Catherine Quin was on the opposite scale to Yui Atelier with her  minimal aesthetic in her elegant palette of black. Each item simple and different from the  other with clean cut silhouettes and luxury fabrics this all black collection stuck out from  the rest. Soojin Lee’s SS15 collection was everything summer was meant to be. Bold colours in the form of miniskirts, floor-length dresses and easy straight fitting trousers. Dresses were pinched at the waist in floral patterns matching maxi dresses. If the pink and pastel palette wasn’t to your taste, Soojin Lee had a darker tone of looks added to her SS15 collection fitting for her mixed audience.
